ADOPTED: The 2012 Ministry of Health and Social Protection decree number 1686 states that labels of beverages above 2.5% ABV must have warnings on the labelling stating: ‘excessive use of alcohol is harmful to health’, which must take up at least 10% of the label, in readable font, and on the front of the package. The label must also include ‘it is prohibited to sell intoxicating beverages to minors’. Expressions or images suggesting medicinal or nutritional properties are prohibited.
